Obituary of James G. Baldwin

James G. Baldwin James G. Baldwin, 62, of Orneville Township, Maine, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. He was born the first son of Kenneth G. & Evelyn Shields Baldwin in Rockville Centre, New York. Jim spent most of his life in Poughkeepsie NY, graduating from Wappingers High School. After attending Farmingdale State University of New York for Chemical Engineering, his interest in science never faded. As a free spirit he sought work in the out-of-doors, becoming a Conservation Officer for New York State. Also he worked at Indian Point as a Marine Research Technician for Texas Instruments. Later he worked in specialty construction of exterior restorations, public exhibits and custom interiors. After tending to his parents through their retirement, he moved to northern Maine, where he working at Pleasant River Lumber Company, Dover-Foxcroft. Jim's un-conventional life style never lead him to the raising of his own family, but he loved and took great pride in his extended family. He is survived by his two sisters, Barbara Maier and her husband, John Maier, III of West Shokan, New York and their children David and Christiane, Colleen Marsh and her husband, Robert Marsh of Clark Summit, Pennsylvania and their, children Amy, Adele & James and his brother Kenneth G. Baldwin Jr. and his wife, Janice Baldwin of Pooler, Georgia and their children David & Jessica. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at the United Methodist Church in Wappingers Falls, New York.
