Obituary of James H. Ming

James H. Ming James H. Ming passed away at home on March 31, 2009. He was 66. Born in Greencastle, Indiana; he was the son of James H. and Marian Wolfe Ming. Jim grew up in Appleton, Wisconsin. After graduating from the Lawrenceville School, Lawrenceville, New Jersey, Jim received his B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Rochester. Capping a forty-one year career in programming and management at IBM, Poughkeepsie, Jim was honored by friends and co-workers on his retirement in September 2008. Surviving are Jim's wife of forty-two years, Lynda and their children, Catherine Ming of Cary, North Carolina and James Ming of Grapevine, Texas. Family will receive their friends on Monday, April 6, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano and Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am on Tuesday, April 7 at St. Martin de Porres Church, Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie. Burial will be at the family's convenience.
