Fredrick W. Gugumuck
Fredrick W. Gugumuck of Poughkeepsie entered into rest Saturday October 11, 2008 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was 87.
Son of the late Henry and Josephine Eckel Gugumuck he was born on April 3, 1921 in Piesting, Austria .He married the love of his life, Frances Feiner on December 26, 1942 at Our Lady of Refuge Church in the Bronx. Mrs. Gugumuck predeceased him on December 18, 1993.
Fred served in the army from 1943-1946, He retired in 1986 as a tool and model maker for IBM E. Fishkill after 33 years of service. He was a member of St. Martin dePorres Church and St. Martin dePorres Knights of Columbus Council #7551.
He is survived by his sons, Fredrick W. Gugumuck, Jr. and his wife Katharine of Swanton, VT, Henry J.,Gugumuck and his wife Sharon of Chester, VA and Richard C. Gugumuck and his wife Mary of Poughkeepsie, NY: his brother Henry Gugumuck and his wife Mary of Malverne, NY, eleven grandchildren Christopher, David, Laura, Karen, John and his wife Erica, Andrew, Joseph, Matthew, Justin, Stephen and Timothy Gugumuck; three great grandchildren Alexis, Ava and John Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive their friends on Tuesday October 13, 2008 from 4-7 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. The Knights of Columbus will conduct a service at 6 p.m..
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday October 15, 2008 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls..
