I am so very sorry to learn of Mr. Adam’s passing. Like many of my friends, he left an indelible mark on me during high school. It’s been ~25 years, but I still revisit the kind, thoughtful, and encouraging notes he jotted in the poetry chapbook I wrote for his creative writing course. His insights encouraged me to begin writing for myself again. (“A line a day!”) I hope his family takes comfort in the knowledge that Mr. Adam left a huge legacy in the form of a profound and lasting impact on his students.

Bob and I were in high school together, just a year apart, and then we were colleagues teaching. Bob was a dear soul and a gentle man of peace and great humor. I am so very sorry to hear of his passing.
