Linda, Mary and Michael,
What beautiful tributes have been written about your mom, and all of them so very true! The friendship she and my mom shared for so many years meant so very much to my mother. After her passing, I would often come home to messages on my phone; “ Hi Gail, this is Rosalie, just wanted to call, I miss your mom so much.” Their friendship was very special and continued even after my mom moved from Wheeler Hill. So many times I’d be calling my mom, wondering where she’d been all afternoon, only to be told, “I’ve been at Rosalie’s.” Please find comfort in knowing what a special person your mom was and how much she obviously meant to so many. All that love and kindness did not go unnoticed, she will be missed.
With much love and sympathy,
Gail (Morris) & Dick Rau

Just a few words from a former classmate of Rosalie and Conjetta who were inseparable. it seems during our school years together. . I can still see Rosalie now once running down the hallway of Beacon High School ,her long beautiful shoulder length hair swinging side to side , smiling and saying a friendly hello to me as she hurried along. to somewhere ! When I work for IBM (for less than a week) in Poughkeepsie I knew she worked there also, and found her in her office flipping a pencil across her fingers looking kinda of bored I thought . We talked for a little while and ! Think that was when I probably decided I was not cut out to be a loyal employee for IBM. left soon after to see what the world offered and have had what i think was an adventurous life since !!. . Whether you knew it or not Rosalie,, I think that day we spent a few minutes talking was very important to me to realize I had to be true to myself....Thanks Again Rosalie !!! May God Bless you and your family in this difficult time....Love....Don Sandford

Dear Family ,From the first moment I met your mom I knew that I had a special blessing that entered my life. This was at the Dutchess Diner where we would see your mom and dad and chat. Pretty soon we chatted more often and longer, and then came, the hugs from your mom. She was always such a giving, loving, compassionate, beautiful person. After your dad died, we still were in touch. When my husband died, and I no longer went to the diner. Rosalie and I still spoke on the phone. We would call each other on a regular basis and sometimes I would pick your mom up and we would go out. In our conversations I want you to know that I found your mom to be the most beautiful blessed and loving person I can’t say enough about her. I love her dearly. When we no longer spoke on the phone, I still thought of her and thanked God for all the times that I was blessed and honored to have had your mother in my life. I know that you all know how special your mom was and I just wanted you to know how much she meant to me. For just a short time that I knew her she deeply touched me and enriched my life. God bless you all.Ellie Di Marco

Everyone should have an Aunt Rosalie. I was also blessed to have her as my Godmother. She called me her Sweet Pea and she always made me feel special and loved. She lit up whenever I went to visit and especially when I brought the boys to see her (even when she didn’t quite remember us).
But no matter who you were, if you came for a visit she always greeted you with a Huge smile, a BIG STRONG HUG, and the Royal Treatment.
She would offer you coffee & beer AND have to feed you. I always remember her yummy cupcakes with M&Ms on top as a kid, for my boys they remember her chocolate chip cookies, and brownies. She always had something SWEET to offer. You KNEW there was ice cream in the freezer and always Klondikes in the garage freezer.
But more than that she genuinely cared about you and your life. Listening with great intent, she’d Ooh and Ahh as you tell her what you have been up to. As a kid for me Thanksgiving was at her house, always a home you felt welcomed, loved and safe in. I think that is a big reason why Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.
When Uncle Bruce passed she would remind me to hold Jamie’s hand and enjoy each other. She missed holding hands with Uncle Bruce and Swinging on their swing set in the yard that’s been there forever (and they were in their 70s!) I am so glad and honored to have seen her joy with my own boys. She still had toys and a play room in her home. She just loved children. Especially squeezing their cheeks. Although she squeezed mine and Big Jamie’s Cheeks sometimes too.
Whenever we said good bye we’d get another BiG hug and told us that she loved us. She also always told us to be careful on the road. Waving goodbye from the front door with a big smile and blowing kisses. I miss you already but am so glad you are no longer suffering. And to pass on Uncle Bruce’s Birthday is surely a sign you’re together again. Thank you for all the love you have left behind.
Mike and Sue, Linda and Mary, you guys did an amazing job keeping her home all this time. She was so lucky to have all of you and your children. What a blessing Sending you all our Love

Linda, Mary, and Michael and families - I am so sorry to hear of Rosie's passing. She is a fixed part of my childhood, and I will always remember time spent at your home, with you guys and your parents. Your mom...she was kind and gentle, and always had a knack of making me feel like I belonged. In particular, the compassion she showed me the week I spent at your house while my mom was caring for my grandmother at the end - absolutely priceless. And every time I make a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich, I smile and remember your mom flipping them at the stove! Through the years, listening to my mom and Rosie talk was like stepping back in time...they would chatter on and laugh and it was truly heart warming. Just know that she touched our lives in ways large and small, and has always been - and will always be - in our fondest memories. The three of you also.
With much love,
Jen Parese (Ann Parese's daughter)
