Obituary of Patrick J. Hennebery, Jr.

Patrick Joseph Hennebery Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home in Wappingers Falls on December 10, 2020. He was born in Yonkers, NY on March 26, 1945 to his parents Martha and Patrick Hennebery. He enlisted in the Navy in 1966 and proudly served abroad the USS Sablefish at the Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, CT. After returning to New York in 1968 he opened Valley Performance Specialties and Speed Shop in Fishkill. He opened Valley Model Trains in Wappingers Falls in 1982. He had a passion for racing with the National Hot Rod Association and Northeast Timing Organization. He was member of the Hudson Valley Historical Racing Committee and was inducted into their hall of fame in 2013. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Maya, his children, Patrick (Eleanor), Nicole (Josh), and Michael (Ruth), and his grandchildren, Ernest and Woods. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Wappingers Rural Cemetery at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 14.
