To Ethney and family: My condolences to you and your family on hearing the news of Sam passing. I worked with Sam on the Friends of Darbonne project when I was at St. Andrew's Church in Poughkeepsie. I had the utmost respect for Sam and all he did for the people in Darbonne, Haiti. I also remember having you folks to our house in Williamsburg, Virginia many years ago. Our prayers are with you.

As you know, Uncle Sam has always believed in each of us and the success we all have had over the years. He was so proud of our accomplishments and the bright futures we all have in front of us. One thing I will alway's remember of Uncle Sam saying to me. "Never, Never, Never let anyone tell you that you can not do what your heart tells you to do".
I had the opportunity to be with him on April 8th, and all he talked about was the joy in knowing each and every one of use, the joy he had when we talked on the phone with him, or has he would say, "the new technology, this email"! I smile now because I can say that I personally had the greatest God Father a God Son could ever wish for. His guidance, love and attention helped me through the loss of my Grand Father, Grand Mother's, Father, Mother and my only Son Keenan, his communication with me will always be with me forever.
What a great role model we all had in living our lives with him. May God bless him and keep him eternally for ever. We shall miss you Uncle Sam, but we smile knowing you where the best.
