I enjoyed book discussions with Fanny for close to 25 years. She had an inquiring spirit and projected great empathy. She had an open mind and was always seeking to expand herself. She helped me through a rough period in my life by listening and caring. She was a very special person. I will always remember her with great fondness.

I'm so sorry to hear the sad news. Fanny was a great friend who helped me many times (including letting me sleep on her sofa for a couple of weeks after I got evicted from my apartment some years ago). She was a smart, fun, compassionate person and I'll miss her. Love to all her family and friends, Sam Bell

Fanny shared her words of wisdom with all of us who worked with her at the Vassar College Library. She also was a great listener. For both these gifts - thank you.

Fanny was a pleasure to work with and Vassar was lucky to have her. There was nothing that Fanny was afraid to tackle.
