Remembering Josie
As I grew to know Josie and love her...I learned much...
Josie warmly opened her arms and heart to all she met,
She touched others by sharing herself and her love,
She loved sitting outdoors, all aglow in God's sunshine.
Josie loved to read, but not stories with TOO much romance
She loved to eat and never refused a sweet
Josie's voice flowed with love and caring
when her dear sister Maddie phoned her.
How can I forget our time together, dear Josie...
How blessed I feel to have known you.
Moments shared...you reading, me knitting
A cup of tea, a bite of sweet to accompany
The sharing of a story or two by you
Of your parents, your beloved Blackie or your children.
Josie, how you loved watching your television shows
The "Price is Right" and those cooking shows,
Mario and others of "The Chew", the "Contessa"
Your evening favorites were mine too!
Recalling memories of you, dearest Josie
Fills my eyes with tears of joy for having known you
You are one of my special angels, your wings hold me close.
As I hold you close in my memories and my heart.
In all the days to come, as I knit baby blankets,
My dearest Josie, I will stitch in a memory or two of you
and all the while, I will keep watch and be there for your
