To the Goldstein Family,
Barry was in my evening math class at Dutchess Community College this semester. We had a small class of four students which allowed us to not only work closely, but form friendships. Our class felt a great loss not having Barry in class over the last few weeks, and even a greater one yesterday when most of us learned of his passing.
I want to let his children know how hard he worked on his studies. He was serious about getting an education, and valued its importance. Like the other students, from time to time your dad would mention a little about his family, always in a proud and loving way.
I'm so sorry that Barry had to pass on at such a young age. We as a class were touched by his gentleness and thoughtfulness in just a few short months. I know the days ahead will be difficult at times, my prayers are with you all.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Wendy Joyce
