Obituary of Patrick Robert Gilbert

Patrick Robert Gilbert Patrick Robert Gilbert of the Town of Wappinger, entered into rest Thursday, December 21, 2006 at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, Newburgh. He was 48. Son of Beverly Presher Gilbert and the late Robert E. Gilbert, he was born August 29, 1958 in Peekskill, New York. Patrick attended Peekskill Schools and graduated from John Jay High School. He was a member of Laborers International Union of North America, Local 235 in Westchester County. He worked on many major construction sites in the area. Pat always enjoyed life and lived it his way. He was especially fond of his outings with his children and spent many happy hours with them. Survivors include his children, Erika R. Gilbert, Matthew X. Gilbert and Eugene M. Gilbert and his mother, Beverly Gilbert at the family home in Wappingers Falls; his brothers, Michael and his wife, Barbara of Wappingers Falls and Daniel and his wife, Jennifer of Fishkill; his nieces, Monica, Michelle, Jessica, and Corinne Gilbert, Alycia Kiskis and Victoria Van Etten; his nephew, Daniel Gilbert; his sister-in-law, Ellen Kozinski of Putnam Valley; and many special aunts, uncles and cousins. Family will receive their friends on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 from 6-9 p.m. at Straub Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
