Obituary of Rosina Guastella Robitaille
Rosina Guastella - Robitaille
Rose Guastella - Robitaille, was reunited with her Lord on August 10, 2006. Her legacy as Grandma Rose will live on in our hearts until we join her in the heavenly home she so eagerly awaited.
Daughter of the late George and Teresa Piccitto Guastella, she was born July 22, 1915 in North Tarrytown.
Rose married Edmond Robitaille in June of 1938 in their hometown of North Tarrytown (Sleepy Hollow), New York. They had five children, Teresa Marta, Sonny Robitaille, Raymond Robitaille, Diane Marino and Melody Mordock. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Vikki, Tommy, Michael, Christina, Mason, Marten, Denise Ann, Aimee, Liz, Carolyn, Frankie, Raymond and Billy as well as her twenty-one great-grandchildren. She would of course also want us to include countless others as her own family, all of whom loved her as their own "Grandma." In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Raymond and Robert and her brother, Sam Guastella.
In her earlier life, Rose was employed by Eastern Aircraft during World War II, where she met Ed. Prior to beginning their family, Rose and her husband owned a restaurant in North Tarrytown. Through out the years, Rose's activities included that of Sunday school teacher, choir, Senior Prime Timers and regular church attendance until the very week of her passing. We all shall miss the little lady with a big heart!
A private family graveside service will be on Friday, September 1, 2006 at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at Faith Assembly of God, 254 Spackenkill Road, Poughkeepsie.
