Obituary of Marie A. Blasetti

Marie A. Blasetti Marie A. Blasetti, a resident of Poughkeepsie, entered into rest Thursday, August 11, 2011 at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was 65. Daughter of Virginia Saltarelli DeYorio of Wappingers Falls and the late Anthony DeYorio, she was born April 24, 1946 in Yonkers. Marie worked at Zimmer Brothers in Poughkeepsie for many years. She loved her co-workers like her own family. The most important aspect of her life was her family. She loved and treasured the time spent with them. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her two daughters, Lynn Siudym and her husband, Wayne of Austin, Texas and Crissy Kazimir of Poughkeepsie; her sister, Carol Pelliccio of Jensen Beach, Florida; her grandchildren, Corey and Brittney Siudym; her boyfriend, Fred Donohue of Poughkeepsie and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive their friends on Monday, August 15, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Marie's name to Dutchess County Hospice, 374 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
