Obituary of Beverly A. Nostro

Beverly A. Nostro Beverly A. Nostro of Wappingers Falls died on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center after a long illness. She was 66. Born in Port Chester, NY on September 25, 1944, she was the daughter of Jerome and Elizabeth (Parsons) Nostro. Beverly taught biology for 33 years at Van Wyck Junior High School and John Jay High School. Survivors include her sister, Geraldine Nostro of Wappingers Falls; aunts, Doris Nostro of Port Chester, and Regina Nostro of Greenwich, CT; and several cousins in Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, New York and Virginia. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY, 12590. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Beverly's name to The Elephant Sanctuary, PO Box 393, Hohenwald, TN 38462.
