Elizabeth Palm
Elizabeth Palm, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. She was 80.
Daughter of the late Charles and Julia Corderro Lopez, she was born December 2, 1930 in Manhattan. She was married to Julio Palm who preceded her in death March 18, 2003.
Prior to her retirement she was a home health aide in the Bronx. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, crocheting, traveling especially to the beach and dancing. Most important to her was her family; she will be truly missed.
She is survived by her sons, Richard Palm and his wife, Georgette of Wappingers Falls and Julio Palm and his wife, Anna of Denver, Colorado; her daughter, Janet Caban of Fords, New Jersey; her sister, Myrna Morrera of Vermont; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Caban, Joseph Caban, Jessica Montoya , Lauren Palm and Elizabeth "EJ" Palm; her great-granddaughter, Makayla Caban as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Edna Banuelos and son-in-law, Edwin Caban.
Family will receive their friends on Saturday, January 8, 2011 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
