Obituary of John J. Lupparelli

John J. Lupparelli John J. Lupparelli, longtime resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Saturday, November 14, 2009 at River Valley Care Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 84. Son of the late Angelo and Maria Borhesi Lupparelli, he was born on October 15, 1925 in Wappingers Falls. John attended Wappingers Schools. Throughout his life he had many hobbies, including drawing. He also had a passion for fishing. Survivors include his sisters, Gloria Thorn of Glenham, and Barbara Lund and her husband, Leslie of Fishkill; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his brothers, Alfred Lupparelli and Nate J. Lupparelli, and his sisters, Amelia Decker, Jeanette Germano and Ada DePrile. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John's name to the American Diabetes Association, 2 Pine West Plaza, Albany, NY 12205.
