My deepest sympathy goes out to Capt. Butler's family. As many know, Bob was a rare diamond. He was kind and thoughtful to all at all times. I will never forget him and his gentle spirit. It's not everyday that you meet someone of his caliber. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Capt. Butler and MAY GOD BLESS YOU. Tina Smith WCDC

I am very sorry for your lost. When a loved one dies the pain, the grief, and the feelings of helplessness can seem unbearable. At such times, we need to go to Gods Word for comfort. (2Corinthians 1:3,4) The Bible helps us to understand how Jehovah and Jesus feel about death.

My deepest sympathy to Cyndee and the Butler family. Bobby was the greatest best friend a kid could ever have had growing up in Yonkers. I'll never foget our trips to Getty Square or our years as caddy's at St. Andrews GC. He was such a good person to be around and so proud of his family.Words cannot express how sorry I am to hear of this sad news.

For a truly great guy Bob your are and always will be the best. You were the calm during any storm, the voice of reason during any insanity. Your great sense of humor got all of us through tough times. When you retired I missed you and now I will miss you forever. When I walk the boardwalk at Bethany Beach, I will carry a beer in my pocket and toast you every chance I get. Rest in peace brother, you deserved much much longer on this earth.

I want to give my most heartfelt condolences to all of Bobs family; I worked with him and his brother David in the Dept. of Corrections and I also worked with him very closely as a union Rep and without a doubt I can say he was one of the finest people I ever encountered. I was at the Dept. for 25 years and I never heard anything but that about Bob, he will be greatly missed and I pray that he will rest in enternal peace, and I will pray for the blessings of the Lord for his family. "God Bless You Bob"
