I've been thinking about my memories of Aunt Anne since last week. It's been sad but also really nice to recall my memories. Aunt Anne was my great aunt. My dad, Ted Bunga, adored his Uncle Paul so naturally that love extended to Anne and their wonderful children. I adored my grandmother, Anna Pancio Bunga (Paul Panson's sister) so it's natural that when you don't have the advantage of living near relatives, you cherish the times with them and love them all the years before and after. My favorite memory of my Aunt Anne is kinduv' funny when I was a young adult. I was in upstate NY, I believe for my grandmother's funeral in the mid-90s. My family went out to dinner with some of the Pansons (I believe Rick was there) to Lasca's in Auburn, NY. I naively mentioned I lived with a boyfriend at that time and my Aunt Anne bluntly yet tactfully said, "Well, why milk the cow when you can get it for free." I had no idea what this meant but her delivery made it so that I was not curious! Funny thing about that now that I'm in middle-age - she was totally right. :)
Love you Aunt Anne!

Aunt Ann most certainly was a very favorite aunt in my life. Full of vigor, humor, and loving compassion for me and many others was her mantra. She will live always in my memory as one who feasted on life and care for those in her own family and Uncle Paul's family, as is the case with me.
