Obituary of Frances Maslosky

Frances Maslosky Frances Maslosky, of Wappingers Falls and formerly of Peekskill, entered into rest Monday, August 17, 2009 at Elant at Wappingers Falls. She was 97. Daughter of the late Edward and Alice VanVelsor, she was born August 25, 1911 in Copiague, New York. Prior to moving to Wappingers Falls, she was active with Peekskill Senior Citizens. Frances also enjoyed playing cards, crocheting and ceramics. Survivors include her son, Robert Maslosky of Wappingers Falls; her three grandchildren, Robert Maslosky, Jr., Dawn Marie Delaney and Susan Donofrio; her six great-grandchildren, Andrew, Kaitlin, Jordan, Katie, Devin and Courtney; and her two nieces, Donna and Judy. She was predeceased by her brother, Gary VanVelsor and her daughter-in-law, Nancy Maslosky. Family will receive their friends from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Straub, Catalano and Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A service will follow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Amityville Cemetery, Amityville, New York.
