Obituary of Jay J. Cutrone
Jay Cutrone
Jay Cutrone, a resident of the Town of Wappinger, entered into rest Saturday June 6, 2009 in Wappingers Falls. He was 74.
Son of the late Leonard and Frances Cutrone, he was born May 3, 1935 in Brooklyn. He married the former Barbara McCracken on May 7, 1976. Mrs. Cutrone survives in Wappingers Falls.
Jay proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Prior to his retirement he worked for the Wappingers Central School District. Jay enjoyed motorcycles, especially riding his Harley.
In addition to his wife Barbara Cutrone, he is survived by his children, Raymond Cutrone and his wife, Gail of Poughkeepsie, Debra Cutrone of Queens, Laura Fleming and her husband, James of Poughkeepsie, and Kelly Rodriguez of Wappingers Falls; his brother, Franklin Cutrone of Florida; his grandchildren, Natalie Cutrone, Derek and Lea Fleming and Javier and Jovani Rodriguez and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive their friends on Monday, June 8, 2009 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, June 9 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano and Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, June 10 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Entombment will follow in Poughkeepsie Rural Community Mausoleum, South Avenue, Poughkeepsie.
Memorial donations may be made in Jay's name to Hospice of Dutchess County, 374 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 or the American Cancer Society, 2678 South Road, Suite 103, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
