Obituary of Mary A. Sidote

Mary A. Sidote Mary A. Sidote of the Village of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at home. Daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Babel Pardovich, she was born on July 17, 1926 in Beacon. She married the love of her life, Anthony J. Sidote on July 9, 1950 at St. John's Church in Beacon; Mr. Sidote precedes her in death, passing on April 25, 2002. Mrs. Sidote was a graduate of Beacon High School. Her biggest joy was her family; she spent her years making a loving home for her husband and son. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, going to plays and local events. Mrs. Sidote was also a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. Survivors include her son, Anthony J. Sidote, Jr. and his wife, Sandra of Wappingers Falls; her sister, Frances Flemming of Beacon; her beloved grandson, Christian Sidote of Wappingers Falls; several nieces and nephews; and her dear dog, Legend. In addition to her husband, Anthony, she was also predeceased by her brother, John Pardovich and her sister, Anna Tomlins. Family will receive their friends on Friday, March 27, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, March 28 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
