My deep sympathy to the entire family, but especially to Evelyn and Eddie's children and grandchildren. She was so proud of all of you. I met Evelyn many years ago when we were both waitressing in college between semesters, and we kept in touch for all these years. I will miss Evelyn's long newsy Xmas letters. She was a sweeet kind person and it has to be very hard on all of you to lose her so quickly. You must have many happy memories of her which will be a great comfort to you in the days to come. Surely, Evelyn and Eddie will enjoy eternal rest together with the good Lord and all their other beloved friends and relatives.

Dear Aunt Evelyn,
I can't believe that you have passed, as it is just too soon. You have left me with so many fond memories to treasure: camping, holidays at your place, the summer days spent at your house doing arts and crafts in your dining room and joining you on your Avon runs, our trips to the movies, your fabulous cooking and baking, your warm presence during all the important times in my life...from my childhood to my wedding to welcoming each of my children one by one and always showing them your generosity and kindness....and finally, your strength and grace where you remained so positive in the face of the negative. I have never met anyone stronger than you. Thank you for everything. I will hold all of these memories close to my heart for the rest of my life.
Love,
Kate

My wife, Lynne, loved Evelyn very much. We were living in Massapequa, LI, NY when our first born, Torin, came into the world. Evelyn mentored Lynne on the wonders of breastfeeding. When she moved from Long Island to Wappingers Falls, we lost touch. Every so ofter Lynne and Evelyn spoke on the phone, always inviting us up.
I saw Evelyn's name on a 3x 5 card & did a Google search for a tel#. Then I saw she passed in 2014. Sympathies and blessings to all in her family, Fred Greenspan 480 615-8902

Oh, I am so sad to read of Evelyn's passing! We met years ago while members of La Leche League. Evelyn was also my Lamaze coach during my last delivery in 1980. She was totally awesome! My delivery was very fast and uncomplicated thanks to Evelyn. I've never forgotten her tender care. She was indeed a wonderful person. My sympathies to her family at this time.

Aunt Evelyn, or so we called you as children, I remember you most vividly from family gatherings, whether at homes or at Lake Ronkonkoma with the Kolping Society. Good times!
Now you join your husband, Uncle Eddie, and my parents as well. . . Though I never knew you well, your children were/are good friends of mine. Rest in peace.

There are no words for the loss that we are all feeling at Aunt Evelyn's passing. She was a simply amazing aunt and I feel so very, very blessed by the memories I will carry of her for the rest of my life. I also feel blessed by the nuggets of parenting and life wisdom that she offered me whenever we spoke, even right up until our second to last conversation. Though my heart is heavy at knowing that I will never again speak to her in this life, I find great comfort knowing that she is up in Heaven with Uncle Eddie and hope that the knowledge that they are together brings my cousins and their families some measure of peace. Sending you all love and light at this difficult time. I am so, so sorry for your loss.
