Obituary of Frances Bridget Lawlor

Frances Bridget Lawlor The family of Frances Bridget Lawlor is saddened to announce the death of their mother on Sunday, May 25, 2008. She passed away peacefully in her sleep and sits in comfort and joy next to the Heavenly Father with those who preceded her in death; her husband Henry, her son John, her brother John Joseph and her mother and father, Margaret and Thomas. Daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Connor, she was born on September 26, 1941 in Yonkers. She married the love of her life, Henry J. Lawlor on April 20, 1963 at St. John's Church in the Bronx; he preceded her in death, passing on October 7, 2005. Mrs. Lawlor retired from the Wappingers Central School District in October 2003. While there, she acted as a representative for their transportation union. She loved the time she spent with her family, especially enjoying her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her. Frances was also a member of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. Survivors include her son, Michael Lawlor of Milford, PA; daughters, Christine Lawlor and son-in-law, Don Tompkins of Wallkill, and Patricia Dean and her husband, John of Phoenix, AZ; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Lawlor; brother, Thomas Connor and his wife, Milagros of Wappingers Falls; sister, Mary Tiernan and her husband, Martin of Wappingers Falls; grandchildren, John Thomas Dean, Jr., Casey Lynne Lawlor, Shannon Ashley Lawlor, Madelyn Rose Lawlor, Sean Henry Dean, John Henry Lawlor, II and Michaela Kelly Lawlor; and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive their friends on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, May 29 at 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
