I had the pleasure of serving on the Grinnell Library Board with Elaine for about 18 years. She always, always, had a little twinkle in her eye and laughed at my foolishness. She loved the library. I'm sorry that I will not be able to pay my respects in person.

So sorry to read of Elaine's passing in the paper. Years ago, it seemed whatever I volunteered for, for the Town of Wappinger, Elaine was there as well. Her smiling face always brought comfort to new members of the community. She will certainly be missed by so many.
