Obituary of Robert W. Nealy

Robert W. Nealy Robert W. Nealy, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. He was 64. Son of the late William and Elsa Olson Nealy, he was born August 10, 1943 in Yonkers, New York. He married the former Alice Auger on August 15, 1971 in Yonkers. Mrs. Nealy survives at home in Wappingers Falls. Robert was employed as Construction Representative for Con Edison in the Bronx prior to his retirement in 2005. He was also an avid Yankees and New York Giants fan. In addition to his wife, Alice M. Nealy at home in Wappingers Falls, he is survived by his children, Alicia VanCura and her husband, John of Hopewell Junction, Janet May and her husband, Hector of Lagrangeville, Linda McLoughlin of Wayne, New Jersey and Brian Nealy and his wife, Carrie of Poughkeepsie; his sister, Alice Bruce of Yonkers; his grandchildren, John VanCura, Jr., Allison VanCura, Christopher VanCura, Jillian VanCura, Logan May, Emily Nealy, Maggie Nealy and Carter Nealy; one niece, Amanda Gnagey and one nephew, Matt Bruce. Family will receive their friends on Friday, February 22, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 23 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie.
