Obituary of Florence G. Guyette

Florence G. Guyette Florence G. Guyette of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Monday, February 18, 2008 at Elant at Wappingers Falls. She was 86. Daughter of the late James and Mae McMahon Bradley, she was born on January 1, 1922 in Brooklyn. She was married to Lawrence Guyette; he precedes her in death, passing in June of 1986. Mrs. Guyette worked as a telephone operator in Brooklyn before her retirement. She was also a member of the East Fishkill Seniors. Survivors include her children, Carol Longo of Patchogue, James Russin of New Jersey and Antoinette Parquet of Wappingers Falls; nineteen grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Beverly Capala. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 21 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, Long Island.
