Obituary of Kurt Edward Schneider

Kurt Edward Schneider Kurt Edward Schneider of the Town of Wappinger passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, December 28, 2007. He was 86. He was born October 30, 1921 in Holyoke, Massachusetts to Richard and Emma Daub Schneider. Kurt worked as a manager of the Tool and Model Shop at IBM, East Fishkill until he was disabled by a stroke in 1982. Prior to his stroke, he enjoyed skiing, gardening and wood-working. Kurt is survived by his devoted wife, Janet; his daughter, Allison of Mason Arizona; his step-son, John Vitale and his son, Brian; his step daughter, Joan VanVoorhis and her husband, Raymond and their daughters, Nicole and Lindsay; his step-daughter, Jeanne Vitale and her partner Amy Tripi and their daughter, Joan and his sister, Ella Bleausius of Watertown, Massachusetts. He was predeceased by his son, Kurt Schneider, Jr. and two brothers. Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services which will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, January 2, 2007 at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Route 9, Fishkill. Rev. Gloria McCanna will officiate.
