Obituary of Ralph F. Van Buren

Ralph F. Van Buren, a longtime resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Sunday, August 17, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. He was 93. Son of the late Fred and Grace Van Voorhis Van Buren, he was born March 2, 1921 in Fishkill. Ralph married the former Ruth Phillips on June 28, 1942 in Wappingers Falls. Mrs. Van Buren predeceased Ralph in 2007. Ralph proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. He retired from the Wappingers Central School District as Custodian. Ralph is survived by his daughter, Judy Sneyd and her husband, William of Wappingers Falls; his grandchildren, Tara and Darby Sneyd; his great grandchildren, Brittany, Brianna and Alexus Sneyd; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Ralph was predeceased by his brother, Paul Van Buren. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the family plot in Wappingers Rural Cemetery, Route 9D in Wappingers Falls.
