Keith Thomas Fritzinger
Keith Thomas Fritzinger, a resident of the Town of Poughkeepsie, entered into rest Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. He was 54.
Son of Geraldine Drum Fritzinger and the late Thomas Fritzinger, he was born July 18, 1952 in Drifton, Pennsylvania.
On June 14, 1980, he married Janet Hessinger in Poughkeepsie.
Keith was an electrical engineer at IBM in East Fishkill and Poughkeepsie for thirty-three years. He was a member of New Hackensack Reformed Church where he was very active. He was an elder and deacon, a Sunday School teacher and youth advisor, a Stephens Ministry Leader, a former member of the bell ringers and enjoyed participating in the numerous advent dramas at the church. Keith was also a member of the Dutchess County Community Orchestra, the Airport Advisory Committee and the Mid-Hudson Amateur Radio Club. He enjoyed computers, ham radio, and music. He loved the ocean and sailing as well as flying personal airplanes. Most importantly, he loved his family and friends.
In addition to his mother, Geraldine Drum Fritzinger of Reading, Pennsylvania and his wife, Jan Fritzinger of Poughkeepsie, he is survived by his daughter, Bethany Fritzinger of Poughkeepsie; his sister, Karen Wickel and her husband, Todd of Lancaster, PA; his aunt and uncle, Beatrice and Wesley Fritzinger of Freeland, PA; his father-in-law, Edward Hessinger of White Sulphur Springs, New York; his sister-in-law, April Kissel and her husband, Joseph of White Sulphur Springs, New York; his brother-in-law, Robert Hessinger of Youngsville, New York and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Family will receive their friends from 3 to 7 pm on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Straub Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, April 15 at New Hackensack Reformed Church, 1580 Route 376, Wappingers Falls.
nterment will be on Monday, April 16 at 11 am in Laurel Hill Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs, New York.
Memorial donations may be made in Keith's name to New Hackensack Reformed Church, 1580 Route 376, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
