Obituary of Lilly J. Kotzen

Lilly Kotzen, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home in Poughkeepsie, New York on August 9, 2014. Her sons Daniel and Jeffrey and daughter-in-law Valerie along with her beloved cat, Misty, were by her side. Lilly was born July 24, 1939 in Port Jefferson, New York. Her husband Theodore Kotzen predeceased her. She is survived by her children Daniel Morris, Terry Jean, Debra Lea and Jeffrey Wayne; her grandchildren Tyler, Tiffany, Meghan, Ashley, David, Cody, Austin, Mallory, Jimmy, Madison, Dustin, Alexander, Kevin John and Patrick; and great-grandson Walker. Lilly always had a love for animals. As a young child she biked around town with her aunt's dachshunds in a basket on her bicycle and spent most of her time with pet ducks, cats, and dogs. She considered the animals her friends. A private family service is being held.
