William P. Penik
William P. Penik of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at home. He was 66.
Son of the late Michael and Julia Pavick Penik, he was born on July 12, 1940 in Yonkers. He married the love of his life, Maria Soltysiak on October 29, 1966 in St. Michael's Church in Yonkers; they remained happily married for over 40 years.
Bill served his country in the United States Navy. He most recently worked as a tool and dye maker for Osram-Sylvania in Maybrook. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Bill was also a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls.
Survivors include wife, Maria Penik at home; his son, William P. Penik, II and his wife, Michelle of Millbrook; his daughters, Tracy Bronzo and her husband, Frank of Hopewell Junction and Sharon Penik at home in Wappingers Falls; his brother, Michael Penik and his wife, Naia of Monsey; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Penik is predeceased by his brother, George Penik.
Family will receive their friends on Friday, February 9, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Straub Funeral Home, 55 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, February 10 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Entombment will follow in Poughkeepsie Rural Community Mausoleum, Poughkeepsie.
