Obituary of Jacqueline Marie Rose Traver

Jacqueline Marie Rose Traver, a resident of the Village of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Dutchess Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Pawling. She was 76. Daughter of the late George and Isabel McSween Rose, she was born May 12, 1938 in Taunton, Massachusetts. She married Robert Traver on July 3, 1957. Mr. Traver preceded her in death on November 5, 1998. Mrs. Traver worked as a banquet coordinator for Villa Borghese in Wappingers Falls until her retirement. She was a member of the W.T. Garner Engine Company Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading and watching Jeopardy. Survivors include her children, Robert J. Traver of Wappingers Falls, George Traver of Tennessee, David Traver and his wife, Dawn of Poughkeepsie, Scott Traver and his wife, Laurie of Wappingers Falls, Timothy Traver and his partner, Christine Corgliano of Wappingers Falls, and Jennifer Cusumano and her husband, Lenny of Mahopac; her siblings, Sandra Green and husband, Russell, Georgia Benjamin, Valerie Tavares and husband, Eddie, Norman Rose and Marjorie Rose; her grandchildren, Haley, Skylar, Rachel, Dillon, Tommy and Nick; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, William Rose. Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. during the visitation. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5 at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Route 9 in Fishkill.
