Our thoughts and prayers are with the Scianna family during this difficult time. I've known Mrs. Scianna my whole life. She was a fabulous cook (she made THE BEST pignoli cookies EVER), wife, mom, and friend. Island Avenue will not be the same without her. Hugs to everyone,

I took care of anne at the Dyson Center at Vassar several times. I will remember her and her wonderful husband in my prayers. They are both beautiful people and I feel honored to have met both of them and took care of anne. She really was a "beautiful person" always so brave through her illness - such a warm, soft spoken person with a beautiful smile always. I will think of you both at the jersey shore every year. May God bless you all.

Words cannot express our sorrow to learn of Mrs. Scianna's passing. She had been a part of my life since I was 2 years old, and then more recently a part of Steve and Emily's life as well. We will always remember what a sweet, thoughtful and wonderful woman she was. We will miss seeing her smiling face on Island Avenue, but we will cherish the last time we got to visit with her in SSP this past summer. We send our love and prayers to all of you from Georgia.
