Obituary of William E. Dederer

William E. Dederer William E. Dederer of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was 80. Son of the late Edwin C. and Frances Shook Dederer, he was born on December 5, 1925 in Wappingers Falls. Mr. Dederer attended Wappingers Central Schools. He then went on to work as a clerk for IBM in Poughkeepsie for 39 years, until his retirement. Through his employment, he became involved with the IBM Bowling League. He was also inducted a member of IBM's Quarter Century Club. Survivors include two nephews, Gary and Cary Dederer; his cousins, Marion Post and Ernest and Betty Gelormino; his sister-in-law, Pauline Colley; a friend, Richard Crawford; one grandniece; one grandnephew; and several cousins. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 28 at 12 noon at Fishkill Rural Cemetery; interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in William's name to the American Cancer Society, 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 or a charity of one's choice.
