Obituary of Joseph A. Marcelli

Joseph A. Marcelli Joseph A. Marcelli of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Tuesday June 27, 2006 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was 85 years old Joseph served his country in the United States Army from 1943-46 in the European Theatre where he met his wife of sixty years Anna A. Kaiser. They were married November 17, 1945 in Naples, Italy. Mrs, Marcelli survives at home.. Mr. Marcelli worked as a foreman in construction through the Labor International Union of North America Local 1000. He worked for R.J. Marshall in Wappingers Falls for 34 years. Joseph loved flowers, gardening and the outdoors. In addition to his wife he is survived by his four children Joann Emma and her husband Robert of Charlotte, NC, Frances Rice and her husband Patrick of Fishkill, NY, Joseph Marcelli and his wife Dinah of Myrtle Beach, SC and Anthony Marcelli and his wife Doreen of Wappingers Falls; his sisters Viola Anzivina and her husband Ralph of Highland, NY and Lydia Pacio and her husband Anthony of Wappingers Falls. Also surviving are his grandchildren Todd Emma, Amanda Locklear and her husband Gaston, Miranda Marcelli, Wayne Marcelli and Alicia Wilson; and his great grandchildren Kayleigh, Logan and James. Family will receive friends on Thursday June 29 from 5-8 P.M. at Straub Funeral Home, 55 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday June 30 at 10 A.M. at St, Mary's Church, Clinton St., Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
