Obituary of Mary R. Sucich

Mary R. Sucich Mary Rose Sucich of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan. She was 69. Daughter of the late Joseph F. and Aida R. DeGiacomo Dispensa, she was born on December 11, 1936 in Queens. She was married to Mel Sucich; he precedes her in death, passing on May 24, 1997. Mrs. Sucich was the owner and operator of Travel Connections in Wappingers Falls for many years. She was also a member of the Wappingers Falls Seniors, Fishkill Seniors and the Red Hat Society. Mary was also a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. Mrs. Sucich is survived by her sons, Nicholas F. Sucich, and Joseph G. Sucich of Wappingers Falls; her daughter, Lori Jiava and her husband, Chris of Wappingers Falls; her brother, Frank J. Dispensa and his wife, Kathleen of Wappingers Falls; and grandchildren, Ana Cristina and Christopher Matteo Jiava. Family will receive their friends on Wednesday, April 5 from 6-9 p.m. and Thursday, April 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Straub Funeral Home, 55 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, April 7 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
