Oh my gosh, this is hard to take. This is one of the saddest days I can remember. When I first started penturning, Rich and I exchanged literally hundreds of emails, as he had recently started as well. We discussed CA finishing ad nauseum. I'm not sure there was a single issue we didn't discuss about it - that is just the way Rich was. He was a perfectionist to the 'n'th degree - always pushing the rest of us to do our very best. My wife bought me his autographed book a couple of years ago...one of my prize possessions, especially now. I remember virtually every conversation I had with him, whether email or phone, I was always so impressed with his comprehensive knowledge of whatever we discussed. What an amazing guy and he will be sorely, sorely missed.

This news about Rich gives me a heavy heart - so sorry to hear, I wasn't aware of his condition.
Rich's pure enthusiasm for our model airplane sport/hobby/obsession was always a wonderful addition to all ModelMaster activities.
He was one of the first people I got to know in the ModelMasters club and the HV RC Society and we always had great conversations.
He really represented all that is good about our club and the RC world.
So interesting to hear all of his interests, here, I was unaware of.
May he rest in Peace...
