Obituary of Richard D. Ragusa

Richard D. Ragusa, a resident of New Windsor, entered into rest Thursday, May 3, 2018 at home. He was 71. Son of the late Louis and Anna Marie Ragusa, he was born August 5, 1946 in Queens. He graduated from Cooper Union in 1967 and worked for Con Edison as a Senior Electrical Engineer. He was proud to still be working with them for over 50 years. Richard loved trains. He enjoyed model railroading as well as rail-fanning. He liked Westerns, especially with John Wayne and loved to listen to oldies. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer C. Ragusa; his sons, Jerel Johnson and his wife, Dacia, Sean Ragusa and his wife, Meredith, Anthony Ragusa, and Christopher Ragusa and his wife, Krystle; his grandchildren, Cooper and Leighton Johnson, Ayva Ragusa, and Lorenzo Ragusa; as well as his cousins, Dominick Ragusa and Rosalie Ragusa. Family will receive their friends on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Salt Point Turnpike in Poughkeepsie.
