Obituary of Lawrence Christopher Inzeo

Lawrence Christopher Inzeo, after 94 years on this earth, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. He was a 42 year resident of Wappingers Falls. Son of the late Thomas and Harriet Meyers Inzeo, he was born in 1923 and raised in the Bronx. He married the former Louise Pannone on September 22, 1946 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in the Bronx. Mrs. Inzeo preceded him in death, passing on June 8, 2011. Lawrence proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps (459 Bomb Group H) during World War II in the campaign to liberate Italy. After he was honorably discharged, Lawrence went on to work as a letter carrier for the United State Post Office in New York City. Later, he owned and operated a wine and spirits shop in Greenwich Village. He was a hardworking man and a good father, leaving behind a great deal of fond and loving memories. Survivors include his devoted children Lawrence, Jr., Dennis and Mary (Tierney), and Loretta and Ron Corrado; loving grandchildren, Taryn and Cameron Corrado, and Amelia, Nicholas and Brianna Inzeo; and cherished great-grandchildren, Caeden and Abrielle Corrado, and Brandon and Dylan Polemeni. In addition to his wife, Louise, he was predeceased by his four brothers, Michael, Richard, Charles and Walter, and his sister, Anna Hammond. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Vassar Brothers Medical Center for their outstanding service and compassion. There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Church, 11 Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Entombment with military honors will follow in Poughkeepsie Rural Community Mausoleum, Poughkeepsie. Please pray for the peaceful repose of his soul.
