Dear Mr. C,
It's terrible to hear about your loss and I express my sincere sympathy to you and your family. The love you had for music will never be forgotten.
I was a student of Mr. Corlieto when he was a band instructor at Emerson Jr. High in Yonkers, NY. He is, and forever will be my favorite teacher EVER! He gave students the liberty to compose their own music. He had such passion and patience dealing with a crazy group of teenagers!
Thank you for letting me skip lunch and bobard your class. Because one hour a day wasn't enough :-)

All I would like to say is your father had such an impact on my life all through Elementary School.I was in the All City in all County band with him. And he taught me so much with the trumpet and trombone. I always came back through the years to say hello. He was like a mentor to me and he will never be forgotten. I'm only saying this right now because I didn't hear about him and I'm really sorry that I missed everything. That man means so much to me and I'm totally heartbroken that I found this out right now. We all know he's in a better place now. And I know I will never ever forget him. R.I.P. Mr. C.

Ben was more than a coworker. He was a daily friend. Such a sweet man. I have lovely memories of his upbeat, generous personality. I remember him being patient with me as he helped me to learn how to play the flute. I send my sympathies to his family. He will be remembered.

Ben was a joy to care for even though the circumstances never seemed to be ideal. It was such a surprise to learn of his history to the Hudson Valley and his proximity to my in laws in Poughkeepsie. Love to CArol and the family, Ben will be missed.
