Obituary of Thomas R. Hynes

Thomas R. Hynes, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Monday, September 11, 2017 at his home. He was 52. Son of the late Thomas P. and Patricia O'Rourke Hynes, he was born April 25, 1965 in Manhattan. Tommy worked as an electrician for MetroNorth for many years. He enjoyed sports and spending time fishing. He also was known to tinker with cars. He is survived by his sisters, Patricia Haran and her husband, Kevin of Hurley, Christine Moroney and her husband, Tim of Wappingers Falls, and Tara Toth of Wappingers Falls; as well as his nephews and niece, Michael Haran, Ryan, John and Katie Moroney. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Michael. Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, September 15 at St. Mary's Church, 11 Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls.
