Obituary of William A. Curry
William A. Curry of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Friday, May 5, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was 85.
Son of the late William F. and Jennie Oakley Curry, he was born on September 27, 1931 in Peekskill. He married Audrey Caswell on December 2, 1951 in Ossining. Bill and his wife were inseparable; they did everything together and especially loved to travel. Mrs. Curry survives at home in Wappingers Falls.

In his spare time, Bill loved the outdoors, especially fishing. During the late 1960's he served as assistant leader for the Boy Scouts with his sons. He was always looking for a challenger in a game of basketball and was an avid skier later becoming a member of the Over 70 Ski Club. He also enjoyed going to the gym. Bill was affectionately known as "Papa Bill", whether he was a relative or not. He was always there for everyone that needed help.
In addition to his wife, Audrey, survivors include his children, Norman D. Curry and his wife, Michelle of Poughkeepsie, Michael P. Curry and his wife, Laura of Liberty, and Darla L.
