Obituary of Claudia Gorman

Claudia Gorman, a resident of Yonkers and formerly of Hopewell Junction, entered into rest Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at her home. She was 58. Daughter of the late Alexander and Vera Perepechko Zukowski, she was born May 2, 1958 in Brooklyn. On October 10, 1981 she married Robert J. Gorman who survives at home in Yonkers. Claudia was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Theologian Orthodox Church in Wappingers Falls. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Michael Gorman and his wife, Alysse of Brooklyn, Kevin Gorman and his fiancée, Justine Heroux of Queens and Alena Gorman of Yonkers as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Sandra Giammette. Family will receive their friends on Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 10 at St. Gregory the Theologian Orthodox Church, 1500 Route 376, Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery in Hastings-on-Hudson.
