Obituary of Rosemarie J. Pacifico

Rosemarie J. Pacifico, a resident of the Village of Wappingers Falls for 48 years, entered into rest, Friday, September 2, 2016 at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh. She was 75. Daughter of the late George and Elena Mattera Spina, she was born November 24, 1940 in Brooklyn and raised in the Bronx. She married Philip A. Pacifico on October 4, 1998. Mr. Pacifico survives at home in Wappingers Falls. Rosemarie worked as a floral designer at AC Moore in Wappingers Falls. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. As her children were growing up she was active with St. Mary's Mothers Guild. In recent times, her life revolved around her grandchildren; treasuring every moment spent together. In addition to her husband, Phil, she is survived by her children, Sean Bowden of Wappingers Falls, Kieran "Kerry" Bowden and his wife, Laura of Wappingers Falls, Georganna Munz and her husband, Damon of Killingworth, Connecticut, and David Pacifico and his wife, Denise of Fishkill; her sister, Sylvia Carlisle and her husband, William of Middletown; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Anthony, Kayla, Ariana, Alexa, Genna, Sarah, Grace, and Amanda; as well as her nieces, Catherine Leonard and Rachael Roehrig. She was predeceased by her sister, Catherine Spina. Family will receive their friends on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7 at St. Mary's Church, 11 Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Entombment will follow in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery Community Mausoleum, South Avenue in Poughkeepsie.
