Obituary of Evelyn M. Pallo

Evelyn Mary Walker Pallo, an 11 year resident of Poughkeepsie and formerly of Yonkers, entered into rest Friday, July 15, 2016 at The Pines at Poughkeepsie. She was 91. She was born on May 30, 1925 in Yonkers, New York to the late Robert and Amelia Schonheit Walker. She married George Pallo, Jr. on April 6, 1947 in Yonkers. Mr. Pallo preceded her in death on December 21, 1976. Prior to her retirement in 1981, Evelyn worked as an operator for New York Telephone Company in Yonkers. Survivors include her children, Deborah A. McDonald and her husband, Kenneth of Lowell, Michigan and Thomas Pallo of Poughkeepsie; her daughter-in-law, Nancy Pallo of Yonkers; her sister, Rubina Scott of Yonkers; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, George Pallo, III; daughter-in-law, Maria Pallo; and sister, Kathryn Edwards. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Christ Episcopal Church, 20 Carroll Street in Poughkeepsie with Reverend Susan Fortunato officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Oakland Cemetery in Yonkers.
