Obituary of Sylvester S. Taccetta

Sylvester S. Taccetta, a resident of Wappingers Falls, died Monday, June 20, 2016 at MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. He was 76. Sal proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1960. Prior to his retirement, he worked as an accountant in New York City. Survivors include his wife, Angie Niosi of Wappingers Falls; his children, Melissa Ramsook and her husband, Seon of Houston, Texas and Michael Taccetta of Arizona; his brother, Al Taccetta and his wife, Carol; his grandchildren, Dylan, Ayden and Lilia; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. Family will receive friends again on Saturday, June 25 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. at Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main Street, in Wappingers Falls.
