Obituary of Adam Michael Justiniano

Adam Michael Justiniano, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in Wappingers Falls and was greeted by his grandmother Gladys Licona in Heaven. He was 19. Son of Javier Carlos and Gladys Licona Justiniano, he was born June 29, 1994 in Bronxville. Adam was a 2013 graduate of Roy C. Ketcham High School where he was a wrestler. He was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls, volunteering as an aide for Religious Education. Adam was a black belt in Jeet Kune Do, taking lessons with his father at JKD Institute in Fishkill. He had been a Camp Counselor with the Village of Wappingers Falls Summer Program for several years. He worked for Antonella's Restaurant in Wappingers Falls and most recently had been made a manager at Domino's Pizza in Wappingers Falls. Adam loved music and could often be found with his headphones on. He was known to be funny and charming and was the comedian within his family and friends. He had a big heart, always thinking of others. Most importantly, Adam will be remembered as an awesome son and big brother. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Noel and Jaden Justiniano and sister, Jaylene Justiniano, all at home in Wappingers Falls; his maternal grandfather, "Papa" Samuel Licona of Honduras; his paternal grandfather, Harry Justiniano and his wife, Awilda of Montgomery; his paternal grandmother, Rachel Geygel of Staten Island; several aunts and uncles; as well as numerous cousins. Family will receive friends on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
