Obituary of Nancy J. Surette

Nancy J. Surette of Carmel, NY entered peacefully into rest Sunday, May 22, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was 80 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Merna Cross Friberg, and born on April 21, 1936 in Irvington, NY. She married Carlo Pasqualini who preceded her in death, passing on November 11, 2001. Nancy was a mother of eight children, was an artist and loved crafts. She also enjoyed antiquing and playing bridge. She loved being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and many friends. Survivors include her eight children, daughter Lisa Pires (Frank) of Glen Ellen, IL, and their children Frank Pires (Alissa) and great-grandchild Madison, and Raquel Pires (Brandon Benjamin); daughter Esther Bedard of Ridgefield, CT, and her children Ryan Bedard, Danielle Bedard (Roland Howley), Elyse Bedard (Samuel Mason), Colby Bedard, James Bedard, Andrea Bedard; daughter Faith Pasqualini of Stuart, FL and child Cassie Pasqualini with great-grandchild Azaelea; son Carlo Pasqualini Jr. (Annette) of Bedford Hills, NY, and children Nichole Pasqualini, Christopher Pasqualini, and Matthew Pasqualini; son Daniel Pasqualini (Coreen) of Torrance, CA and children Chaz Pasqualini, Danialle Pasqualini with great-grandchild Arabella, and Hannah Pasqualini with great-grandchildren Avery and Braxtan, and Mia Pasqualini; daughter Hope Pasqualini and child Collin Christopher McNamara; daughter Nancy Pasqualini and children Kayla Tamburro and Jacqueline Tamburro; son Peter Pasqualini (Valentina) of Poughkeepsie, NY with children, Peter Pasqualini Jr., Gavin Pasqualini, Natalia Pasqualini, and step children Nicholas and Katelyn; sons-in-law Robert Bedard and Christopher McNamara; In addition to her late husband, Carl, she was predeceased by her only sister, Shirley Coffee. Service will be on Wednesday, May 25th at 11a.m. at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 U.S. 9 in Fishkill, NY. A memorial will immediately follow at 1p.m. at 535 North Salem Road, Ridgefield, CT. At mom's request, wear bright or pastel colors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Nancy's name to a charity of one's choice.
