Obituary of Michael Parker
Michael Parker, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Westchester Medical Center surrounded by the love of his family. He was 56.
Son of the late Gary W. and Frances A. Pietropolo Parker, he was born June 2, 1968 in Poughkeepsie. He married the former Sandy Schneider on October 2, 2004. Sandy survives at home in Wappingers Falls.
Mike worked as a chef in New York City and a butcher locally. Between these two jobs, he raised his two amazing children for 12 years. He loved to feel the wind on his face on his Harley Davidson. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially his teams, the Mets, the Rangers and the NY Giants. Mike enjoyed music and went to many concerts with his friend Tommy to see the Allman Brothers Band. He also enjoyed fishing as well as hunting and treasured trips with his father and his Uncle Lee. They would butcher the deer and make their famous homemade sausage. No one will forget his mac & cheese in his neighborhood.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two children, Dylan and Emily Parker; his sister, Tracy McGregor and her husband, Scott; his niece and nephew, Samantha and Brandon; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
