Obituary of Anna M. Lofaso

Anna M. Lofaso, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Monday, March 28, 2016 at her home. She was 91. Daughter of the late Stephen and AnnaMaria Kelly Watters, she was born July 16, 1924 in New York City. She married Thomas J. Lofaso on February 24, 1952 in New York City. Mr. Lofaso preceded her in death on August 28, 2013. Anna was a parishioner of St. Mary Mother of the Church in Fishkill. She enjoyed shopping, crocheting, knitting, reading and working on crossword puzzles. She was also known for her cooking, often trying out new recipes. Survivors include her children, Karen Fico and her husband, Ronald of Fishkill, Anita Rose and her husband, William of Fishkill, Janet Glover and her husband, Richard of Palm Coast, FL and Thomas F. Lofaso of Lake Carmel; her grandchildren, Eugene Lofaso, Jennifer Connett, Kristina Fico, Richie Glover, Erin Rose and Thomas F. Lofaso, Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Riley, Jonas and Tegan; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, John, William, Edward and Martin Watters and her sisters, Margaret Burley, Evelyn McDonnell and Joan McDonnell. Family will receive friends on Friday, April 1, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 2 at St. Mary Mother of the Church, Jackson Street in Fishkill.
